Abstract

AI systems have enhanced the efficiency of fostering collaborative learning in classrooms and online. The adaptation of these features can improve collaborative learning by automatic group formation, participation monitoring, communication pattern analysis, and feedback provision. AI technologies, used in real life and on virtual teaching platforms, assist in discerning participation and student engagement levels in addition to monitoring overall progress. AI customization also includes modifying offered resources and recommendations for groups, interactions, and individuals fostering more ease in the learning process. However, the use of AI in education poses ethical, data privacy, and the preservation of human connection challenges. This paper analyzes existing insights and the potential of AI in reconsidering educational paradigms to enable better collaboration among students. © 2026 Amit Kumar Tyagi.
