The development of renewable energy power plants is starting to be implemented in Indonesia because it requires sunlight as a renewable energy source that is abundantly available and free to use. However, in converting renewable sources into electrical energy, there are issues such as high initial installation costs and dependence on environmental conditions. Therefore, this power plant is designed with a photovoltaic system using the MPPT method through a boost converter. In the testing, the boost converter achieved an efficiency of 76%. The MPPT method with the advanced P O algorithm, by increasing and decreasing the duty cycle to improve efficiency in reaching the MPP despite unstable environmental conditions, achieved an efficiency of 73%. The research results show that the advanced algorithm can minimize oscillations and maintain power stability under changing environmental conditions compared to the conventional P O efficiency of only 55%. Thus, the advanced method is a solution to address power efficiency issues and reduce power requirements that will be implemented. © 2025 IEEE.
