Abstract

A comfortable and safe environment as well as energy-saving is everyone's dream. By utilizing existing technology, it is possible to create a security and control system at home that aims to make it easier for homeowners to access, as well as an adequate power source. With the availability of technology and the Internet of Things (IoT), devices can collect information from the environment according to the surrounding conditions. By making a control system, electronic devices can be integrated into one smart system package. The main features of a smart home are real-time, remote control, as well as a renewable power source as a backup. Data security is important for access rights in maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information that may be known by other parties. A technology system is a container created for configuration with valid data. This smart home design uses Node MCU 8266 as a controller, an android application as a communication when a change occurs in the house, and solar panels as a tool to channel solar energy into electrical energy. © 2023 Author(s).
