Abstract

IoT is a term used to describe objects that communicate and share data without human intervention. Since the development of wireless technology, especially the internet, the development of IoT is growing rapidly, one of which is in the education sector. This research is an idea from a research publication on IoT in the Education sector, which shows its widespread use based on data from publications on Scopus. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of studies related to the Internet of Things (IoT) in the Education sector. This study visually maps scientific publications in indexed digital techniques with bibliometric analysis in various countries. This study collects data from the Scopus database, uses the Scopus website analysis feature, and visualizes the bibliometric network using Vosviewer. The method used consists of five stages: determining search keywords, initial search results, refinement of search results, initial compilation, and data analysis. This research is based on 1885 academic documents published over 2 decades from 2000 and 2019 obtained in a data search based on the Scopus database. Among the most published and indexed articles by Scopus, papers published by researchers in the United States have the highest number of publications (322), followed by China (214) and India with 162 academic publications. The processed data shows the pattern and trend of increasing the number of international publications on the Internet of Things (IoT) in the Education sector indexed by Scopus. This study proposes a classification of convergence axes. © 2021 IEEE.
