Power transformers are the most crucial electrical equipment in the power system. Routine testing of transformer oil insulation characteristics is necessary to estimate the level of transformer degradation. This study will implement an assessment of the database of test results for dielectric characteristics using an index-based assessment matrix method based on CIGRE TB 761 (2019). Using indices for assessment will facilitate a comprehensive evaluation of the transformer's condition. Specifically, the database comprises 10 data points from oil characteristic tests conducted by PT. PLN UIT JBM with rated voltages of 150/20kV and 150/70kV. Additionally, the research analyzes the influence of individual oil parameters on index assessment through linear regression. Notably, strong correlations are observed between color, oil moisture, IFT, BDV, and the oil index. Furthermore, the paper examines the effect of loading on the oil index for transformers of the same operational age, revealing that higher loading factors lead to faster aging, as evidenced by oil index values of 0.8 and 0.4 with loading factors of 81.63% and 34.84%, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.
