Abstract

Standard household appliances in Indonesia use 220V AC electricity. However, many household electronics are driven by DC power. In the process of converting the AC power to DC power, a loss of energy in the conversion process occurred. In DC house electrical systems, the energy losses can be avoided by using batteries to store the energy. Batteries then supply the DC equipment in the house. However, there is no standard voltage available for DC equipment, making it difficult to turn on the DC equipment directly from the DC outlet. To overcome this problem, the use of Smart DC Wall outlets can meet the required DC load voltage by automatically adjusting the output voltage. The proposed design can monitor the output current then adjust the output voltage accordingly. The results showed that the proposed design can generate the DC devices characteristics with smoother algorithm to improve the successful identification of voltage by Smart DC Wall outlets. © 2021 IEEE.
