The problem that often occurs in electric vehicles is their cruising ability which is limited by the energy stored in the battery. However, there is an opportunity to increase the effectiveness of battery energy, by the braking regenerative. It converts brake energy to electric power and this electric energy then recharges the battery. For this purpose, a voltage regulator is needed so that the power generated during braking has a voltage that can be charged to the battery. In this research, the regulation voltage uses fuzzy logic. The research experiment was carried out on an electric bicycle with a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor. The test results show that at 30 meter track, a braking time of 9.46 seconds, have stopping distance of 20 meters and an efficiency of 92.79%. While in the fastest braking, braking time of 7.43 seconds, the stopping distance is 7.4 meters, and produces efficiency in 97.94%. © 2022 IEEE.
