For someone who has studied Islam at a pesantren, the point of view about polygamy is reasonable and permissible. Kegelisahan Madu is interesting to study because it tells the author's perspective of a woman. Polygamy often creates an endless contradiction to be discussed and debated. Polygamy can see as a solution or problem depending on the perpetrators. As a result of this study, the author clearly shows her partiality towards women who experienced polygamy or her disapproval of polygamy practices. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.
